In the 1880 Hinds County Census (Federal) Thomas G. Ervin had a Stephens Thomas and family living within the household. This Stephens Thomas is listed having a wife named Manerva and a son named Andrew.
I believe that this was an error in the census (or was intentionally misreported) and that in reality that this is my ancestor Thomas Stephens (Stevens) and his wife Manerva Lucretia Hill Stevens and their first born Andrew.
I also believe that the George Ervin that was listed living with Thomas G. Ervin in the 1870 census was the same person that later became the father-in-law of the above mentioned Andrew Stevens.
One of Thomas Stevens' parents and three of his sibling were listed in the 1880 Hinds County (State) census and the census indicated that the three children were attending school in Bear Creek.
Any help would be appreciated.

What year was your Hezekiah Ervin born? I would definitely like to know more about this line from Lucy Ervin. I'm looking for the sister of my Polly Ervin who married Hezekiah Ervin in NC just before 1800, lived in TN then to Cape Girardeau Co. MO 1832. Do you know the name of Lucy's husband? Where did they live?
